About Project Blowed

Project Blowed is...

Project Blowed has been going on now for over 11 years bringing together some of the most gifted and diverse artists from not only the Los Angeles area, but all over the world. Together, these artists have sold over a million records to date and have created some of Hip Hop's most duplicated & diverse sounds.

Project Blowed is a workshop designed to challenge & sharpen the skills of all Hip Hop heads from emcees, to dancers, graffiti artists, DeeJays and, of course, listeners.  So it was only right that Project Blowed be born inside of an Arts Center.  The organization chosen by one of Project Blowed's founders, "Aceyalone," was KAOS Network.

Located in the historical Leimert Park Village, KAOS Network is a community arts center dedicated to providing training on digital arts, media arts and multi-media.  Established in 1984 by Ben Caldwell, KAOS Network offers weekly classes and workshops in video production, animation, digital arts, video teleconferencing, artist development and drop-in performances / open mic programs.  Each week over 150 youths participate in workshops and programs at the center.  In addition to these workshops, Kaos Network has videotaped community events and produced documentaries for the state of California.  KAOS Network is committed to creating a community of young people who are dedicated to learning new technologies, acquiring employable skills and participating in digital arts and new media trainnig.

KAOS Network is supported by the US Department of Commerce Technology Opportunities Program through the CalArts Community Arts Partnership, California Arts Council, City of Los Angeles Affairs Department, Joseph Pinked Foundation and Don Snowden.
